Who we are

Hi, I’m Jaslyn Dean — founder of Wharton County Driving Academy and a former teacher at Wharton High School. Teaching has always been more than just a career for me — it’s a way to pour into the lives of young people and uplift our community.

As a parent and educator, I saw firsthand how many teens were struggling to get proper driving instruction. My students were doing their courses online, and I realized quickly how much is missed without that in-person guidance. Driving is more serious — and more life-changing — than most people think. It’s not just about getting from one place to another. It’s about safety, responsibility, and protecting everyone on the road.

I started Wharton County Driving Academy because our students and families deserve more. They deserve patient instructors, a supportive environment, and real, hands-on experience that prepares them for the real world.

This school was built with heart — and we’re here to make sure every driver we teach is prepared, confident, and safe.
